EFEKTIVITAS Sn(OH)4 SEBAGAI COPRECIPITANT PADA PENENTUAN TRACE NIKEL DAN KOBAL DENGAN SPEKTROFOTOMETRI SERAPAN ATOM
Abstract
Trace amount of cobalt and nickel in water sample were studied by using Flame Atomic Adsorption Spectrometry after coprecipitation with Tin (IV) Hydroxide at pH 3-9 and using 8-15 mL Sn(OH)4 0,2 M. The optimum condition of methods held in pH 8 and added 14 mL of Sn (IV) 0,2 M. The proposed method was effectively applied to determine the trace cobalt and nickel in sea water and river water. Cobalt in sea water and river wa ter are 0,090 and 0,108 mg/L. Nickel in sea water and river water are 0,112 and 0,162 mg/L. The results indicated that used coprecipitant more effective than without using cop recipitant where the concentration Cobalt and Nickel in sea water were 0,023 and 0,057 mg/L, while in the river water 0,057 and 0,105 mg/L respectively for cobalt and nickel.
