Ecosains: Jurnal Ilmiah Ekonomi dan Pembangunan
Ecosains: Jurnal Ilmiah Ekonomi dan Pembangunan is a peer-reviewed journal publishing empirical research in economics and development. This journal is published twice a year, in May and November, by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Padang.
The Ecosains focuses on a broad range of topics in empirical economics, including monetary economics and banking, international trade, international finance and financial markets, public economics and public finance, industrial organization and market behavior, regional economics and spatial analysis, environmental and natural resource economics, economic growth, institutions and development, human capital, health economics, and demography. Research focusing on the Indonesian economy is prioritized, but regional and global analyses are also welcome.
The journal aims to publish high-quality research that contributes to scientific literature and influences policymaking. Manuscripts from academics, policymakers, and practitioners are welcome regardless of institutional affiliation or geographic location.
The Ecosains was first published in November 2012 in printed form. Since May 2020, Ecosains has been published as a full electronic journal (e-journal).
