Abstract
The development of learning video media is used as an effort to solve student learning problems, namely less interesting learning media. Students' understanding of climate change is low. Low student learning motivation, especially science and science lessons, and limited infrastructure and access to technology at SMP Negeri 9 Koto XI Tarusan hinder the use of technology-based learning media such as videos. This research aims to produce a valid and practical motion graphic learning video media product for climate change material in the science and science subject of the independent curriculum of grade VIII junior high school.
This research uses a development method known as Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. The validation stage is carried out by material expert validators and media expert validators. The results of the media validity assessment obtained an average score of 4.9 from the first media validator and 4.75 from the second media validator on the first day, as well as an average score of 5 from the two validators on the second day, all of which were classified as "Very Valid". Meanwhile, the results of the feasibility test with the material validator produced an average score of 4.9 with the category of "Very Valid". Based on the results of the practicality test conducted on grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 9 Koto XI Tarusan, an average score of 4.8 was obtained which was categorized as "Very Practical".
Based on the results of the validity test and practicality test, it can be concluded that this motion graphic learning video is "Very Feasible" to be used in science science subjects in grade VIII junior high school, especially in climate change material.
