Abstract

The problem in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in the subjects of Electrical and Electronics in SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. This study aims to determine how much differences in student learning outcomes using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type of cooperative learning model with Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the subject of Electricity and Electronics in SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. This type of research is experimental research. Sampling with nonprobability sampling technique with purposive sampling, as experimental class 1 is X TAV 1 using learning model (TAI) and experimental class 2 is X TAV 2 using learning model (PBL). Data collection techniques from the final value of learning outcomes, then analyzed for homogeneity test, normality test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of the experimental class 1 get an average value of 83.80, while the experimental class 2 gets an average value of 80.14. The results of the calculation of the hypothesis at a significant level α = 0.05 was obtained by testing both sides, where t> t or t> -t where, 2.13> 2.05 or 2.13> -2.05, then based on the testing criteria the hypothesis, obtained the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, the hypothesis is accepted where there are differences in student learning outcomes using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type of cooperative learning model with Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the Basic Electricity and Electronics subjects at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra.
