Augmented Reality (AR) is a variety of Virtual Environment (VE) or Virtual Reality (VR). AR combines the real world with the virtual world using media directly, so that 3 Dimensional objects made through a computer can be seen as a whole using the application that has been made, Many companies and campuses are utilizing AR in their promotion and advertising, aiming to build multimedia applications using Augmented Reality technology and can provide information about buildings in all directions, displaying information on majors, and location of each building from Universitas Negeri Padang. Markerless Augmented Reality (AR) is a term for an environment that combines the real world and virtual world, where objects in the real world can be recognized by position, direction and location. Markerless AR technology can be used to visualize information interactively, especially if this technology is combined with mobile communication devices such as smartphones that have an Android operating system. The results obtained from the implementation of the Android-based Augmented Reality application can visualize the object of Universitas Negeri Padang building in 3 dimensions.
