Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

Journal Sendratasik accepts manuscripts that provide insight into current issues, especially those related to the study of Performing Arts and its Learning (Dramatic Arts, Dance and Music) by disseminating knowledge in emerging and developing areas.

Research results, consisting of scholarly reports that increase knowledge about the arts in general, performing arts, and arts education. Either in the form of articles reporting the results of quantitative or qualitative research studies.

Articles should be conceptually relevant to advancing the Performing Arts and its Learning, presenting theories about the arts, models, philosophical positions, etc. Articles can also refer to theories or materials developed in performing arts practice and education.

The language of the submitted manuscript is Indonesian. Must address significant new issues and contributions to the field of performing arts practice and education. Articles can come from any of the following areas:
- Drama
- Dance
- Music and/or Traditional Music
- and Learning

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow the focus and scope, as well as the writing guidelines of this journal. Submitted manuscripts should address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free of plagiarized content. All authors must use plagiarism detection software to perform similarity checks. The editor checks the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using Turnitin Software.

Research articles submitted to this journal will be double-blind reviewed by at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. Reviewers provide valuable scientific comments that improve the content of the manuscript.

The Editor will make the final decision on the acceptance of the article in accordance with the Reviewer's comments. Publication of accepted articles, including the order in which they are published, will be made by the Editor-in-Chief taking into account the order of date received and the geographical distribution of authors and thematic issues.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving

The journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and allows those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and recovery purposes. More...

Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics of the Journal of Sendratasik FBS State University of Padang is carried out through a peer-review process by following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Prevention of errors in the publication process is one of the important responsibilities of the Editorial Board. Any kind of unethical behavior is unacceptable, and the journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Publication ethics need to be clearly communicated to improve the quality of research worldwide. In this section, we explain some standards in publication ethics.

  1. For Publisher

    The publisher has no right to interfere with the integrity of the content and only supports to publish in a timely manner.

  2. For Editor

    The editor may accept, reject, or request improvements to the submitted manuscript. The Editor is responsible for the published article. The editor may communicate with other Reviewers or Editors in making final decisions. An editor should objectively evaluate manuscripts for publication, assessing the quality of each without regard to the author's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation. Editors should decline their assignment if there is a potential conflict of interest. Documents sent to reviewers do not contain author information, and vice versa. The editor's decision should be informed to the author along with the reviewer's comments unless they contain offensive or defamatory comments. Editors should honor requests from authors for someone not to review a submission, if this is reasonable and practical. All Staff Editors must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts. Editors will be guided by the COPE flowchart in case of suspected author errors or disputes..

  3. For Reviewers

    Reviewers need to comment with ethical questions for possible research and publication errors. Reviewers will do the work in a timely manner and should inform the Editor if they are unable to complete the work. Reviewers need to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript. Reviewers should not accept to review manuscripts where there is a potential conflict of interest between them and any author.

  4. To the Author

    Authors confirm that the material has not been previously published and that they have not transferred any rights to the article elsewhere. Authors must ensure the originality of the work and properly cite the work of others in accordance with the referencing format. Authors must not commit plagiarism or self-plagiarism. The author must ensure that he/she has followed the criteria according to the writing guidelines taken from Jurnal Sendratasik FBS Universitas Negeri Padang and described in the instructions for authors of Jurnal Sendratasik FBS Universitas Negeri Padang. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. It is also expected that authors should not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, conduct or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Authors should also ensure that all authors have seen and approved the submitted version of the manuscript and the inclusion of their names as co-authors. Authors must provide data and work details to the Editor, if there is any suspicion of falsification or fabrication of data. If at any time, the author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the submitted manuscript, then the errors or inaccuracies should be reported to the Editor. Journal authors should clarify everything that could lead to conflicts of interest such as employment, research fees, consultant fees, and intellectual property in the declaration document in the form of Jurnal Sendratasik FBS Universitas Negeri Padang..

Rejection

The Editor of Jurnal Sendratasik FBS Universitas Negeri Padang makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all information ("Content") contained in its publications.
