Abstract


School is the institution where the course of the learning process, Through
this process of educational objectives will be achieved in the form of changes in
student behavior. Teachers and friends is a major factor in implementing the
teaching-learning process in schools, The role of the teacher in addition to
teaching a number of subjects, Teachers also educate and guide the students in
order to have the attitude, character, and a good personality, as well as
implementing the teaching-learning process in schools, The role of the teacher in
addition to teaching a number of subjects, Teachers also educate and guide the
students in order to have the attitude, character, and a good personality, as well
as with peers. The purpose of this study is to increase student collaboration or
view the activity and results of class XI student of SMK N 1 Welding Engineering
Bukittinggi in Las TIG subjects with peer tutoring method. Research is action
research, while research subjects were students of class XI Welding Engineering
SMK N 1 Bukittinggi in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013 the
number of students with 11 students. Data collection techniques in this study is the
observation, while the data collection tool used is the practice tests. The results
showed that skill and class XI student learning outcomes Welding Engineering
SMK N 1 Bukittinggi after following the methods of learning with peer tutoring
increased from cycle I to cycle III. Based on the research that has been done can
be concluded that the method of peer tutoring on subjects Las TIG in learning
activities can increase student collaboration and learning outcomes.
