CONTRIBUTION INTERESTS LEARNING AND MOTIVATION TO WARD LEARNING OUTCOMES SUBJECTS ELECTRIC WELDING CLASS X STUDENTS OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING 1 SMK COUNTRY PADANG

Abstract


This study begins with learning outcomes of students who have not been optimal. This
is thought to be caused by factors learning interest and motivation to learn are still low, which
can be seen from the lack of attention to students' learning and many students were late for
class. This study aims to describe and express interest in learning and motivation contribute
to the learning outcomes of students studying in class X in electric welding subjects in SMK
Country 1 Padang.
The population in this study were students of class X majoring in Mechanical
Engineering SMK Country 1 Padangas much as 96 people. The sample used by 49 people..
Collecting data from respondents through a questionnaire in doing research. Data processing
using Excel and SPSS help program (Statistic Product Service Solution) 16:00 version.
Results of data analysis that (1) There is a significant positive contribution between
interest in learning on learning outcomes of 17.3%, (2) There is a significant positive
contribution between motivation toward learning outcomes of (10.1%), (3) There is a
significant positive contribution to their learning and motivation to learn together on learning
outcomes by (19.9%). Based on the electric welding above findings, it can be concluded that
the interest in learning and motivation to learn are the two factors that contribute to learning
outcomes. Thus, teachers are expected to enter and to provide guidance to students so they
can improve their learning and motivation to study the subjects electric weldingat SMK
Country 1 Padang.
