Abstract


This study originated from the factthatwas foundinthe school during PPLK.
The learning processof the eye arc welding trainingis still dominated by the
teacher. Tomaster the materialin the eyearc welding training, students are given
learning theory and practice in the absence of good guidance to the students in
the implementation of welding practice. The purpose of this study is to describe a
variable that gives the perception of students learning curriculum practices,
teacher guidance on practice time, equipment and material practices, and
occupational safety practices in carrying out welding arc welding training eye.
Method in this study descriptive study to describe what it i sabout a variable. The
population in this study were students of class X subjects welding engineering
school year 2012/2013 the number of 65 students, the sampling technique isusing
Taro Yamane formula so that the sample in this study is 39 students. research
instrument was a question naire of students' perceptionson the implementation of
the practice welding on the eyes arc welding training consisting of one variable,
the four indicators and 37 of the questions. Based on the data analysis of this
study concluded that students' perceptions of the implementation practice training
welding arc welding eye on the whole are in categories with apercentage of
53.84%.
