MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X JURUSAN TEKNIK PEMESINAN PADA MATA DIKLAT PRODUKTIF DI SMK NEGERI 1 PADANG

Abstract


Teachers not only as a teacher but also as transfer knowledge to students. The
teachers should be able to guide students in developing the potential and the
mobility of students in teaching. The teachers are not only required to master the
material that will be taught to students, but the teachers are also required to show
personality that can be a role model for students. The purpose of this study was to
determine the students' perception of the teachers personality to motivate students
of Class X in the Department of Mechanical Machining productive subjects in
SMK Negeri 1 Padang. The study is descriptive correlational to describe the
relationship between students' perceptions about the personality of the teacher and
a class X student motivation majoring in Mechanical Machining SMK Negeri 1
Padang. The population in the study were all students of class X Mechanical
Machining in SMK Negeri 1 Padang, totaling 52 students. Samples taken from all
of the population is 52 students by the total population. Based on the data analysis
where t count (2.799)> t table (1.67), then Ho is rejected and Ha that stated is a
significant relationship between students' perceptions about the personality of the
teacher to motivate students of class X of SMK Negeri 1 Padang received, in the
significant level 0.05. From the analysis determination coefficient obtained that
motivation is influenced by the personality of the teacher by 13.3%, while 86.7%
is determined by other factors.
