learning, resulting in a low student learning outcomes. Issues raised in this study is a Model
Student Facilitator and Explaining to improve student learning outcomes are still poor? This
study aims to improve student learning outcomes with Learning Model Student Facilitator and
Explaining the eye Machining in SMKN 2 Batusangkar. Type of research is a classroom
action research, while research subjects were students in Class XI Las technique semester
academic year 2012/2013 the number of 18 students. Data collection techniques in this study
is a test at the end of the cycle, while the data collection tool used is the test questions. The
collected data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative interpretation techniques
criterion reference scores. The results revealed that the Class XI student learning outcomes
SMKN 2 Batusangkar after attending learning using Learning Model Student Facilitator and
Explaining increased from cycle I to cycle II, where in the first cycle of students achieving
mastery learning and a 44.4% increase on the second cycle manjadi 88, 89% so as to achieve
mastery of learning outcomes classical completeness. So it can be deduced by using the
Learning Model Student Facilitator and Explaining student learning outcomes can be
improved.
