Abstract


This study aimed to see how much the relationship between learning
motivation and students’ perception toward learning discipline in basic
process of mechanical engineering subject in SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya. There
are two variables in this study: learning motivation as variable X and
students’ perception toward learning discipline as variable Y. The hypothesis
in this study is there is a significant relationship between the learning
motivations and students’ perception toward learning discipline in basic
process of mechanical engineering subject in SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya.
This study was conducted by using quantitative corelational method. The
population was all of the students who took basic process of mechanical
engineering subject in SMKN 1 Tanjung Raya and the total was 71 students.
The sample was chosen randomly and the total was 51 samples.
The result shown that the coefficient correlation between learning motivation
and students’ perception toward learning discipline is about 0,861 in which r
table = 0,301. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship
between learning motivations and students’ perception toward learning
discipline in basic process of mechanical engineering subject in SMKN 1
Tanjung Raya.
