HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPERCAYAAN SOSIAL DENGAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK PADA PEMILIH PEMULA

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between social trust and political participation of beginner voters. This study uses a quantitative method with a quantitative correlational research design. The population of this research is the beginner voters in Bukittinggi city with a total sample of 100 people taken by purposive sampling technique. This study uses social trust scale consisting of aspects by Mayer, Davis and Schoorman and political participation scale consisting dimension by James Rosenau. The data analysis technique used is product moment correlation from Karl Pearson. The results of the study found a correlation coeffiecient (r) = 0,555 and p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) which showed a significant positive relationship between social trust and political participation. 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kepercayaan sosial dengan partisipasi politik pemilih pemula. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pemilih pemula di Kota Bukittinggi dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 orang yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala kepercayaan sosial yang terdiri dari aspek-aspek Mayer, Davis & Schoorman dan skala partisipasi politik terdiri dari dimensi James Rosenau. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dari Karl Pearson. Hasil penelitian menemukan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,555 dan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) yang menunjukkan hubungan positif siginifikan antara kepercayaan sosial dengan partisipasi politik.
