Hubungan Antara Moral Disengagement Dengan Academic Dishonesty Pada Mahasiswa Ilmu Sosial Dan Humaniora (Soshum)

Abstract


Kuantitas nilai menjadi tolak ukur keberhasilan di dunia pendidikan membuat beberapa individu mengabaikan hal penting lainnya yang berakhir pada perilaku kecurangan yakni academic dishonesty. Sebagian besar penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa di bidang ilmu soshum menjadi kontributor utama dalam perilaku ini. Akan tetapi, masyarakat dan invididu itu sendiri malah memberikan respon permisif yang dapat mendorong munculnya moral disengagement. Dalam situasi ini, peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan antara moral disengagement dengan academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa ilmu sosial dan humaniora (soshum) serta mengetahui gambaran pada masing-masing variabel/dimensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan partisipan sebanyak 457 mahasiswa soshum di Indonesia, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas partisipan berada pada kategori sedang untuk moral disengagement (75.7%) dan academic dishonesty (69.8%). Selain itu, ditemukan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara moral disengagement dengan academic dishonesty secara keseluruhan (rₛ = 0.464; p < 0.01), serta dengan ketiga dimensinya, di mana korelasi tertinggi ditemukan pada plagiarism (rₛ = 0.450), diikuti oleh unauthorized collaboration (rₛ = 0.429), dan cheating (rₛ = 0.396).
