Abstract


This study originated from the observation that the author did in SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Low Grade 1 Student Learning Outcomes in Eyes Training Drafting Skills Program Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Padang, not in spite of some of the factors that influence it. Motivation is a factor that comes from within the students themselves in the form of encouragement and willingness to participate in learning activities.

This research is aimed at revealing correlational and Learning Motivation Relationships with Student Results on the Class I's Training Technical Skills Program Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The hypothesis of this study is: there is a liveliness Relations Learning with Student Learning Outcomes in Grade 1's Training and Technical Skills Program Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 5 Padang.

The population in this study were all students of Class I Light Vehicle Technical Skills Program SMK Padang 5 academic year 2012/2013 as many as 98 people. The sample in this study amounted to 50 people taken using proportional random sampling. Learning activity data obtained from questionnaires deployment. The test questionnaire and questionnaire study was conducted on 22 November 2012 until the date of December 22, 2012 in populations outside the study sample. While the learning of training data results obtained from engineering drawings semester grades TA 2012-2013.

From the analysis of the research data obtained by calculating the correlation coefficient r> r table (0.4487> 0.279) and to test the significance of correlation obtained t count> t table (3.4785> 1.676) at the 5% significance level. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the activity of learning with students' grade 1 in the eyes of Training Technical Skills Program Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 5 Padang.
