The problem in this research is the ability of athletes volleyball smash at SMA
Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti is not so good. The aimsof this study ae to determine
the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and hand-eye coordination
This type of research is korelasional.Population in this research is all sons
students in class 1 and 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Linggo Sari Baganti. The sampling
technique used is purposive sampling. So, the samples in this study was 30 students.
Data collected using measurements of variabels. Leg muscle explosive power
variabel using vertical jump test and eye-hand coordination using balwerfen
undfangen, and the ability to smash using smash test capabilities. Data were analyzed
with correlation productmoment and continued with double correlation.
The results showed that the explosive power of the legs has a significant
relationship with the ability to smash, because found rhitung 0.576> 0.361 rtabel.
Eye-hand coordination has a significant relationship with the ability to smash,
because found rhitung 0.466 > rtabel 0.361. Furthermore, explosive leg power and
hand-eye coordination jointly have a significant relationship with the ability to smash
and accepted as true empirically, because it was found rhitung = 0.677> rtabel =
0.361.
