Problems in this study originated from the observation the author encountered in the field, less excited students / student elementary school 34 Tanah Sirah Subdistrict of Lubuk Begalung in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the nutritional status of students / student elementary school 34 Tanah Sirah subdistrict of Lubuk Begalung.

This research is a descriptive, population in this study were all students / student elementary school 34 Tanah Sirah subdistrict of Lubuk Begalung totaling 226 people. Sampling in this research is using purposive sampling technique, the sample amounted to a total of 39 people from the student / grader V consisting of 19 sons and 20 daughters. Collecting data in this study is done by measuring height and weight. In addition the data were analyzed using the techniques percentage.

Based on data analysis found that the nutritional status of students / student elementary school 34 Tanah Sirah subdistrict of Lubuk Begalung considered normal, the number of average value (15.3). A total of 12 people (30.77%) categorized as underweight, 25 people (64.10%) categorized as normal, and 2 people (5:13%) categorized as obese. This is evident because the amount of the value of the nutritional status of students amounted to 304.6 with an average of (15.2), the number of students as many as 7 people (35.0%) categorized as underweight, 12 people (60.0%) considered normal, and 1 (5.0%) categorized fat, and with an average 292.6 (15.4) on the students, the number of students who are categorized as thin as 5 people (26.32%), normal category as many as 13 people (68.42%), and obese categories by 1 person (5:26%). Thus the nutritional status of students / student elementary school 34 Tanah Sirah Subdistrict of Lubuk Begalung Padang otherwise normal.
