TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN, KESIAPSIAGAAN DAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PEMBANGUNAN JALUR EVAKUASI TSUNAMI DI KOTA PADANG

Abstract

Abstract

This article was writen to obtain data information and discuss participation in the construction of tsunami evacuation route in the city of Padang in terms of: knowledge society, Community Preparedness and Participation in the development of tsunami evacuation route. This research is a descriptive study. The population of this study are all heads of households in the city of Padang. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling the four districts, while the sample of respondents is drawn through random sampling technique with a proportion of 1% in order to obtain 100 respondents. The results of this research are: 1. People who have high knowledge about the earth quake and tsunami are as much as 81%, followed by knowledgeable people who were as much as 16% and the lowest was 3%. 2. Communities that level of preparedness of the Earthquake and Tsunami height is as much as 72%, a knowledgeable being 21%, while the lowest was 7%. 3. Community participation in development is low at evacuation routes reached 84%. While participating height of only 5%.
