Pengaruh Sifat Machiavellian Dan Perkembangan Moral Terhadap Perilaku Disfungsional (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Kota Padang)

Abstract


This research aimed to examine: 1) The effect of the Machiavellian nature to dysfunctional behavior, and 2)the influence of the moral development to dysfunctional behavior. This research classified as a causative research. The populations in this research are Manufacturing companies in Padang. The selection of the sample with purposive sampling method; with the total of respondent are 68 subjects. The data that was used in this research are primary data. Data collection method is using survey method by distributing questioners to each of financial managers, marketing managers, and production managers from the manufacturing companies in Padang. The analysis method that was used is multiple regression analysis by using Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of this research that 1) the Machiavellian nature gives positive influence significantly to the dysfunctional behavior (H1 accepted), 2) the moral development gives negative influence significantly to dysfunctional behavior (H2 rejected). In this research suggested: 1) according to the result of the research , the manager should do a rotation of the employees task; in order to find the mistakes if the fraudulence or manipulation occured 2) for the next researchers that were interested about the same topics, it is better to add some other variables.
