ANALISIS REPRESENTASI GENDER DALAM LAPORAN TAHUNAN BANK SYARIAH DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2013-2015
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze gender portrayal in Islamic banking annual report in Indonesia. This study focused its analysis on annual reports of 3 Islamic banks namely, PT Bank Muamalat Syariah Indonesia, PT Bank Panin Syariah Tbk, PT Maybank Syariah Indonesia 2013-2015. Data for this study were individual and group photographs based on certain criteria. Some important results of this study are as follows. First there is a difference between the number of photos of men and women in the annual reports. Second, the role, place, clothing, body language and the relative position in the annual report photos has shown the existance equal opportunities provided to men and women.. Third, gender portrayal in the annual report of Islamic banks in show the equality views of gender roles in Islam in education and profession.
