Abstract
This study aims to develop and evaluate the SEPAKAT platform, a community-based zakat management system. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE approach, covering needs analysis, design, development, limited implementation, and evaluation. The needs analysis, conducted through surveys and interviews in Pondok Sungai Abu Zakat Village, revealed a need for a digital zakat system. Expert validation, using the Content Validity Index (CVI), showed a 'highly valid' result. A limited field trial applying a mixed methods approach showed high levels of perceived ease of use and usefulness. Qualitative evaluation involved semi-structured interviews with zakat practitioners, with data analyzed using thematic analysis. This analysis revealed improvements in transparency, efficiency, and trust in zakat management, though challenges like internet access and the need for training were identified. The study recommends adding offline features, continuous training, digital payment integration, real-time monitoring dashboards, gamification, and collaboration with national zakat institutions to improve system adoption and sustainability. These findings emphasize the role of technology in enhancing community zakat management.".
