Pengaruh Konsentrasi KOH Sebagai Alkali Aktivator Terhadap Karakteristik Semen Geopolimer Berbasis Tanah Napa
Abstract
Abstract− Geopolymer is the result of the synthesis of a polymerization process which is an inorganic material. Davidovits in 1978 put forward the term geopolymer. These natural materials or industrial waste can be synthesized into geopolymers from alumina silica and alkali hydroxide solution. An alkaline activator is really needed to synthesize geopolymers, where the aluminum and silicate elements in Napa soil will be bound by the alkaline elements. In this research, the alkali activator KOH was used in various concentrations, to see its effect on the compressive strength variable, grain fineness variable and the incandescent strength variable of the geopolymer produced using standard methods commonly used in quality testing. The results obtained were that at a KOH concentration of 12M, the grain fineness variable were proven to meet the 2015 SNI standards.
