Abstract
This article tries to discuss anything related to media construction towards women image projection at local printed media in Padang. The text of mate advertising column in a printed media gives a space of how to explain meanings of something. The meanings refer to how symbols work and function. The assumption that can be used in comprehending the meanings of the printed media is that it reflects not only a social reality but also a representation of a reality and makes it to be what we call as “media reality”.
