Pendekatan Kontekstual dalam Pembelajaran Kewarganegaraan
Abstract
This article discusses the implementation of contextual approach in civics learning. Contextual learning forms a study concept that helps teachers relate the material taught with real life of students’ situation. Besides, it motivates students to make a relationship between the knowledge they have with its implementation in their daily life. Contextual approach consists of seven main components of effective learning. They are constructivism, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modeling, and authentic assessment. The implementation of contextual teaching can improve students’ learning participation and motivation.
