Abstract


ABSTRACT

Deforestry and its converse to be oil palms plantation influenced the forest conservation. One of the plant that have impact of that as orchids. The aim of this research was to identify orchids, came from bosua village, sipora district at south mentawai islands resident. This research conducted at january-march 2012 used survey methods and field direct observation. Research location take place at maonai hill (60 meter upper sea surface level). samples collected had identified at botani Laboratory of Biology Department of Padang State University. The result showed, there are 19 Orchids came from 14 genus. Based on the habitate, there are 15 epiphyte orchids as, Agrostophyllum bicuspidatum J.J. Sm, Agrotophyllum longifolium (Blume) Rchb.f, Appendicula Undulata, Bulbophyllum Stela, Claderia Viridiflora, Coelogyne Asperata Lindl, Coelogyne trilobulata, Dendrobium Anosmum Lindl, DENDROBIUM Crumenatum, Dendrobium indivisum (Bl.) Miq. Dendrobium leonis (Lindl) J.J. Sm. Phalaeonopsis Amabilis (L). Bl. Rananthera Elongata Lindl., Trichoglottius Fasciata, and 4 terrestrial Orchids as, Hetaera Rostata, Malaxis latifolia, Neuwidia Zolingeri Rchb.f., Spathoglottis Plicata Bl.
