Abstract

ABSTRACT
Coronary Heart Disease ( CHD ) is one of the dangerous disease that can cause sudden death for humans. This disease occurs due to narrowing of the small blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart muscles. At this time the number one killer of CHD in the country with a death rate of 26.4 %. The purpose of this study is determine the best model to describe the association between factors that cause coronary heart disease, and determine whether there is an association between factors. The research data is data of CHD patients in the department of DR. M. Djamil Padang hospitalized at 2011-2012. The result showed that the best model to describe the association between the underlying factors that cause coronary heart disease is . The association between type of coronary heart disease with diabetes mellitus, and the sexes with age. Coronary heart disease patients with diabetes mellitus have a tendency classified into types of coronary heart disease myocardial infarction. While patients with coronary heart disease tend to experience the type of angina pectoris in patients without diabetes mellitus. Association between genders with age interpreted first man at the age of 50 years and above is very high potential of coronary heart disease than women. But at age less than 50 years, women who suffer from coronary heart disease are not much different from the number of men .
