ISOLASI STEROID DARI DAUN MENGKUDU (Morinda citrifolia L.)

Abstract


Isolation steroid from leaf of mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) has been conducted in the Chemical Laboratory Research of MIPA UNP Padang.The aim of this research is to isolate and characterization the steroid compound from leaf of mengkudu.Isolation conducted by maceration with methanol during 6 days and fractionation with n-hexane eluen. Colom, for adsorbent used gel silica 60 and and n-hexane eluent: ethil acetate at by SGP. From the crystalline that has been formed, the recrystallization is form with ethyl acetate repeatedly unit if becomes the pure crystal counted 1,2306 g (0,027%) with its melting point 137,6 – 139,40C. Ultraviolet spectroscopy shows the maximum of wavelength 203 nm with adsorben 0,49854. Spectroscopy infrared shows that steroid has bunch fuction of OH at 3445 cm-1 , C-H alkane at 2940 cm-1, C-C non konyugation at 1642 cm-1, CH2 at 1457 cm-1, CH3 at 1376 and C-O alcohol at 1057 cm1. Result of checking spectroscopy 1H-RMI and 13C-RMI to compare information by literature assumption steroid product of isolation formed stigmasterol compound.
