Abstract

ABSTRACT
The ability of fly ash to remove plumbum, chromium and zinc has been investigated. Removal of ions from aqueous solutions by fly ash was investigated using column techniques. At the optimal conditions, that can effect metals uptake such as concentrations and contact times were described. The results show, the optimum condition adsorption of zinc, plumbum, chrom(III) and chrom (VI) on 150 m particle size, contac times 60 minutes and pH 7 removal from aqueous solution are 79,05 %; 99,02 %; 98,12 % and 4,57 %. For evaluation of adsorption characteristics of fly ash on basic dye waste water, adsorption parameters for Langmuir isotherm and freundlich isotherm were determined. Results obtained from isotherm studies show that the sorption of Pb(II), Zn(II), Cr(III) and Cr(VI) by fly ash followed the maximum sorption capacities were 0,4879 mg/g; 9,4434 mg/g; 0,9287 mg/g and 130,82 mg/g. At the optimum condition, metals ion were remove from waste water are 85-90 % Plumbum, zinc and chromium.
