PENERAPAN METODA SINTESIS CHEBYCHEV PADA ANTENA ARRAY UNTUK MENGHASILKAN TINGKAT SIDELOBE RENDAH
Abstract
We have developed an array antenna consisting of 5 elements of square shaped with corner-truncated for circularly polarized synthetic aperture radar (CP-SAR) sensor. The CP-SAR sensor will be installed on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and on-board small satellite as well as. This sensor targeted for various application such as land cover mapping, disaster monitoring, snow cover, oceanography mapping, etc. To maintain the quality of SAR data recording, a low sidelobe level array antenna is required to be implemented in the SAR system. In this work, the Chebychev synthesis method is implemented to manage the power distribution in feeding network. The proposed antenna is designed and optimized using a method of moment (MoM) and presented a good circular polarization and low sidelobe level at the targeted frequency (1,27 GHz). The fabricated antenna gives an impedance dan axial ratio bandwidth of 70,7 MHz and 9,8 MHz, respectively. On the other hand, the sidelobe level is obtained around of 20,7 dB.
