ATENUASI GELOMBANG (STUDI PADA GELOMBANG SEISMIK)
Abstract
Goal of this paper is to know how to solve attenuation in wave phenomena. This paper especially concern on seismic atenuattion. This paper is using library studies. The parameters that use in quantitative measurement of wave attenuation is Q factor Quality, where high attenuation suitable to low Q factor and low attenuation suitable to high Q factor. In seismology, the parameter of Q knows as seismic quality factor. Seismic quality factor is important wave parameter beside of wave velocity if we want to understand about characteristic of subsurface.
There are several method to determine Q factor in oil and gas industry. The most usefull method is spectral ratio method, when a Q is slope of logaritma natural ratio of deep wave spectral and shallow wave spectral. According to Munadi,2000, spectral ratio method is membandingkan spectrum amplitude at A1(ω) to A2(ω)
