TIPE TRIKOMA DAN STOMATA PADA BEBERAPA SPECIES HYPTIS (LABIATAE)

Abstract

Types of Trichoma and Stomata have an important role in identifications sort of plant and conceive relationship amongst species. One of dicotyl plant that has Trichoma and stomata is Hyptis. Hyptis is one of genus from familia Labiatae with including 350 types. This research is purposed to identify Trichoma and stomata’s type in leaves of Hyptis capitata Jacq, H. brevipes Poit, and H. suaveolens (L.) Poit. This research was held in January to March 2012 in Botanical Laboratory FMIPA UNP. This is descriptive research with observing Trichoma and stomata types in Hyptis. This research clarifies that Trichoma Hyptis is found in both leave’s surface. H. capitata Jacq. and H. suaveolens (L.) Poit have glandular and non-glandular Trichoma, while H. brevipes Poit only has non glandular Trichoma. Stomata type in H. capitata Jacq. and H. brevipes Poit based on guard cell structure are diacytic, while H. suaveolens (L.) Poit has diacytic and anomocytic cells. Based on stomata location on its leaf’s surface, those three plants have amphisthomatic stomata, because it is found in both of its leaf’s surface.
