IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW YANG DIMODIFIKASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PERKULIAHAN FISIKA MODERN

Abstract


The low of student understanding in modern Physics lecture is predicted caused by lecture patter of modern Physics don’t optimize the thinking activities and learning responsibility of students. A strategy to improve the thinking activities and learning responsibility of students is important to be done. An alternative solution is to implement Jigsaw type of cooperative learning model that modified. In this classroom action research is conducted interactive integrated program as following: quizz in initial lecture as long as 10 minutes, learning process in the classroom to explain the esential concepts, after that students are given opportuniy to ask some questions about the material doen’t understand, then activity is continued by expert group discussion that its members are representative of initial each group. After that class discussion is conducted by showing expert group that present their discussion result. The kind of  research data are the values of quizz, final test each cycle, students activities in learning process, interview, and open quessionaire. Base on the analysis of data can be stated the reasult result as follow: First, quizz can make students to study continously and improve their learning based on feedback of quizz result. Second, expert group discussion support to share ideas, to build self confidence, collaboration, and responsibility which given by initial group. Through class discussion, students are motivated to understand the concepts that relate to solution of problem, to ask the questions critic, responce of other groups. Beside that the average of quizz increase from as long as in this research, and the avrerage of test result in final cycle shows that increase from 63.89 become 69.38. The improvement the average of test result is small, but students shows the learning effort.
