PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN STRESS KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA DINAS PEKERJAAN UMUM KOTA PADANG

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of leadership, and work stress on employee performance at the Public Works Department of Padang City. This study is causative research. The population of this study is employees at public Department Employment of Padang city was utilized to all 129 people. Meanwhile Slovin formulas were used to taken samples amounted to 98 respondents. The sampling method used proportional stratified random sampling. Path analysis technique were used with SPSS program version 15.0. This study result show that: (1). leadership style influenced significant positive effect on employee performance at public Works Department of Padang city, (2). work stress influenced significant negative effect on employee performance at public Works Department of Padang city, (3). Leadership style influenced significant negative effect on employee stress in public Works Department of Padang city.
