PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN EKSPOSISI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE CIRC SISWA KELAS XI SMK KARYA PADANG PANJANG
Abstract
Abstract: The aims of this study to describe the process of improving the exposition essay writing skills and improving the exposition essay writing skill using cooperative learning model CIRC on class XI TKR 1 student of SMK Karya Padang Panjang. The type of this research is classroom action research that used a qualitative approach. This study arranged in two cycles, starting on February and ending on March 2014. Qualitative data were collected through observation, field notes, and questionnaires. Quantitative data obtained through performance tests and questionnaires. The result of this study find that the use of cooperative learning model CIRC is able to improve learning outcomes in writing exposition skill of the student. The increase can be seen in learning process and the result of writing exposition essay. Exposition essay writing test result of the first cycle with an average mark of 75 and the second cycle with an average value of 82. Based on the research, it can be concluded that: (1) the use of cooperative learning model CIRC can improve the learning process, both teachers and students activity, and (2) improving student learning outcomes in essay writing exposition.
