PENGARUH UKURAN, UMUR, LIKUIDITAS, LEVERAGE DAN AKTIVITAS PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP PROFITABILITAS PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BEI

Abstract

This research aims to test: 1) the influance of firm's size on profitability; 2) the influance of of firm's year on profitability; 3) the influance of liquidity on profitability; 4) the influance of leverage on profitability; and 5) the influance of actifity on profitability. The study population is the manufacturing firms listed in Indonesian Stock Exachange (IDX). Puposive sampling technique is used resulting 38 firm's as smples. Time-series data from financial statements year 2004-2008 used consist of firm's size, year, profitability, liquidity, leverage and activity. Multiple refression is used for data analysis. Result show that: 1) firm's size has a significan tpositive influence on profitability; 2) firm's year has a significant positive influence on profitability; 3) liquidity has a significant positive influence on profitability; 4) leverage has a significant posituve influence on profitability; 5) activity has a significant positive on profitability.
