Analisis literasi sains siswa Madrasah Aliyah pada aspek konten, konteks, dan kompetensi materi larutan penyangga

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine students achievement of scientific literacy in the aspect of content, context, and competencies. This research used a quantitative descriptive method. Sample was 30 islamic senior high school students of Padang. The research instrument used was a scientific literacy test in the form of two-tier diagnostic tests consisting of content, context and competencies aspects in buffer solution material. The result of this study showed that the average achievement of scientific literacy ability in content aspect was 34,03% and was considered to be “very bad”, context aspect was 30,53% and was considered to be “very bad”, and competency aspect was 30,26% and was considered to be “very bad”. An overall conclusion was students had a “very bad”ability in the cognitive aspect of scientific literacy with a value of 33,11%.
