MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DISCOVERY DI SDN 16 TARUKO LINTAU BUO

Abstract


Based on the factual condition in the field, it could be seen that the learning result of science subject in class V SDN 16 Taruko kec. Lintau Buo Kab Tanah Datar has not achieved the goal, because there are many students who have not mastered the required competencies. This is caused by teacher still treat students as object, and there is no meaningful learning model created. In other word, teacher still use convensional method. Due to this condition, a research is conducted toward science learning by using discovery method. This research describe about lesson plan, learning activities and learning result of science subject using discovery method.This research has a goal to improve students learning result in science learning using discovery method in class V SDN 16 Taruko. This research is a classaction research (PTK) conducted using four action step; they are planning, application, observation and reflection. The subject of the research is fifth grade students SDN 16 Taruko consist of 29 students. The sequences of learning using discovery method are (1) problem formulation (2) hypothesis (3) observation/ collecting information to answer the hyphotesis and (5) applied the answer in new situation.From the result of the observation it could be seen that by using discovery method, students learning result of science subject in SDN 16 Taruki kec. Lintau Buo Kab. Tanah Datar are improved.
