KONSELOR is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Universitas Negeri Padang in collaboration with Indonesian Counselor Association (IKI). The first issue was published on 2007 (prints). Since the first publication, it has changed several times in term of journal management and policy
2007, the first issue was published in print form. The ISSN Print was issued on, 2007
KONSELOR has been online since 2012 but without e-ISSN
Although KONSELOR has been online since 2012 yet the editorial process was done offline, including submission and review. In the end of 2016, the management agreed to do online editorial process.
On Vol. 5, No. 3 September 2016, the ISSN Online was issued by LIPI
Since 2017, All articles must be using the new template of KONSELOR
In 2017, the journal was registered and indexed to several websites, including Google Scholar, IPI, Sinta etc.
On 3 February 2017 Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) was a Crossref member and KONSELOR used DOI prefix 10.24036
13 Jul 2017 KONSELOR was accepted to be indexed by DOAJ
In 2018, Vol 7 No 2, the management agreed on new regulations and policies, including All manuscripts must be in English, minimum title and abstract (if body manuscript in Bahasa), and recommended full manuscript in English.
In 2019, Vol 8 No 1, the management agreed on new regulation and policy, including All manuscripts must be in English (title, abstract and full manuscript)
Since 2021, the management agreed on new regulations and policy, including optimizing the quality of journal and manuscripts published, the journal reduced issued, KONSELOR published biannually.
