ABSTRACT

 

In this paper, several properties of combination will be proposed to generalize recursive formula for finding the coefficient of multinomial expansion. This notion was based on two familiar properties of binomial coefficient, which are and . By these two properties, multinomial was seen as the generalization of binomial. So that, its properties then be applied to multinomial to derive the recursive formula. On the other hand, these approaches could also be applied to generalize Pascal’s Triangle in order to construct the new patterns for multinomial coefficient too.
