Abstract


ABSTRACT

Recently, telecomunication and information use optical device, that is information channel by using fiber optic cabel. To process the optical signal is required various component and its function that is called as integrated optics device. The basic structure for this fotonic device can be made from periodic structure that called as fotonic crystal name. The objective of this research is to understand respons of periodic lattice 2-dimensions through effective refractive method to electromagnetic wave. Propagation of electromagnetic wave is analyzed through matrix formulation that connect the wave amplitudes for every layer with incident wave amplitude and transmition wave amplitude. The characteristics respons of this structure to electromagnetic wave that incident to it can be stated by transmition curve of this periodic lattice. This research find that the various of system parameters can be used to design the structure respons of fotonic crystal as filter function.
