PENGARUH LINEAR ALKILBENZEN SULFONAT TERHADAP GERAKAN OPERKULUM DAN FREKUENSI BATUK IKAN MAS

Abstract


Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphonate (LAS) is a detergent surfactant that impact most of water included the ponds. The aim of this research to evaluate the effects of Linear Alkyl benzene Sulphonate to opperculum movement and coughing frequency of carpy fish. This research was conducted in Zoology Laboratory, Biology Department of Negeri Padang University. Experimental design was completely Randomized Design (CRD), 5 time repli cated per group treatment. The treatment were A. control 0 ppm LAS; B. 0.1 ppm LAS; C. 0.2 ppm LAS; D. 0.3 ppm LAS, and E. 0.4 ppm LAS. The data of the number of operculum movement and coughing frequency was counted for a minute per a carpy fish, for 5 time. The data were analyzed using one tail ANOVA and Scheffe Test. The results showed that the operculum movement was increased significantly higher (p<0.05) in the all group treatment compare to the control, as the LAS concentration treatment increased too. The LAS treatments were not significant to coughing frequency in all treatment. It can conclude that LAS coused increased the opperculum movement in carpy fish (Cyprinus carpio L.).
