Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine Teacher Perceptions About the Principal's Managerial Competence in Managing Teachers in Padang 2 Vocational High School. This research is descriptive with a study population of 123 teachers and a sample of 56 teachers. Data collection tool is a questionnaire with a Likert scale model that has been tested for validity and reliability. Furthermore, the data is processed using the average formula (Mean). The results showed that in aspects: (1) planning the needs of teachers in the category of moderately able with an average score of 78.32, (2) managing the guidance and professional development activities of teachers in the category of moderately capable with an average score of 77.88 , (3) while in the management of the provision of teacher welfare is in the category of able with an average score of 81.17. Thus it can be concluded that the teacher's perception of the Principal's Managerial Competence in Managing Teachers in Padang 2 Vocational High School is quite capable with an average score of 79.12
