Abstract


This research is motivated by the low effectiveness of employee work in the Ministry of Religion of the City of Padang Panjang. Many factors affect the effectiveness of employee work, one of which is supervision. The purpose of this study was to obtain data and information regarding 1) Effectiveness of employee work, 2) Supervision and 3) Relationship of Supervision with Employee Work Effectiveness in the Ministry of Religion, Padang Panjang City.This research is a correlational study that looks at the relationship between supervision and work effectiveness. The population in this study were 54 employees at the Ministry of Religion in Padang Panjang City. The sample in this study amounted to 51 people. Sampling using a proportional simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire formulated in the form of a Likert Scale with five answer choices that had been tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 16.0.Data were analyzed using the product-moment correlation formula. The results of data analysis showed that 1) the work effectiveness of the employees in the sufficient category was 76%; 2) supervision is in the category of less that is 67% and 3) there is a significant relationship between supervision with the effectiveness of employee work in the Ministry of Religion of Padang Panjang City which is r count 0.420> r table 0.279 and t count value 3.13> t table 2,000 at the level 95% confidence. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between supervision and the effectiveness of employee work at the Ministry of Religion in Padang Panjang City. This means that supervision is one of the factors that affect the effectiveness of employee work in the Ministry of Religion of Padang Panjang City.
