Abstract


This research is motivated by various problems that show low development by the leadership of the Padang Pariaman District Education and Culture Office. This study aims to determine employee perceptions about the development of education and training provided, awards, and promotions. This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study were all employees of the Department of Education and Culture of Padang Pariaman Regency who supported 75 people. While the tool to support the data is a questionnaire with a Likert scale model that has been approved for validity and reliability. Furthermore, the data is processed by means of a mean formula. From the results of research conducted in the fields of: 1) education and training according to the good category at an average score of 3.80, 2) Awards are in the good category with an average score of 3.62, 3) promotion is in the good category with an average score of 3.67. Overall, employee perceptions about career development by leaders in government are in the good category with an average score of 3.67.
