Abstract


The purpose of the article was to find out and describe how well the Physical Work Environment, which includes: 1) Lighting, 2) Coloring, 3) Air Arrangement, 4) Noise, 5) Security and Non-Physical Work Environment, which includes: 1) Relationship boss with subordinates, 2) Relationships between coworkers.This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 51 employees at the Solok City Education Office. Data analysis is done by percentage techniques. The results showed that the physical work environment was in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.03%. These results illustrate that 1) lighting is in a good category with a percentage of 89.02%, 2) color management is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 69.49%, 3) air regulation is in the poor category with a percentage of 58.69%, 4) noise is in the bad category with a percentage of 46.78%, 5) security is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.18%. While the non-physical work environment is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 79.90%. These results illustrate that 1) superior relations with subordinates are in a fairly good category with a percentage of 79.02%, and 2) relations between coworkers are in the good category with a percentage of 80.78%. Overall, the working environment in the Solok City Education Office is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 69.99%.
