Abstract


This research is motivated by the observations of the authors who show that employee morale is still low. Many of the factors that affect employee morale are non-material incentives. The purpose of this study is to obtain data and information about 1) Employee morale, 2) Non-material incentives. This study is a correlational study that looks at the relationship between providing non-material incentives with employee morale. The sample in this study amounted to 62 people using the Krejcie formula and taken by a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using product-moment correlation formula. The results of the data analysis showed that 1) employee morale was a high category, namely 82.5%; 2) non-material incentives are in the fairly good category of 73%. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the provision of non-material incentives with employee morale at the Department of Youth and Sports in Padang City. This means that the provision of non-material incentives is one of the factors that influence employee morale at the Department of Youth and Sports in Padang City.
