Abstract


This study aims to obtain information about the implementation of academic supervision by the head of the State Vocational High School 3 Padang. The population of this study was the teacher of the State 3 Vocational High School Padang with a total of 87 people. The size of the study sample was 49 people who were determined by the Slovin formula. The research instrument used a Likert scale model questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability based on trial data analyzed using SPSS 16.0. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of academic supervision by the head of the State 3 Vocational High School Padang: 1) the initial meeting stage is in a fairly good category with a score of 3.58; 2) the observation stage is in the fairly good category with a score of 3.58; 3) the meeting-back stage is in a fairly good category with a score of 3.60. The conclusion of the results of this study is that the implementation of academic supervision by the head of the State 3 Vocational High School Padang has been carried out quite well with an overall score of 3.59.
